Also a little bit nervous, cause who can tell me what I will do next?! But at this moment I'm forcing myself not to think about the future that often and enjoy my well deserved holiday which will start with throwing a kick-ass party! Bye bye student life, hello working life!

Iris van Herpen

Last night Dutch designer Iris van Herpen showed her AW12 collection at Paris Fashion Week.

Van Herpen is known for her collections made of special materials and last night she showed a recognizable Van Herpen collection. Yesterday she showed a collection of alien-like designs made of unusual materials such as copper, silicone and PVC. All the designs are made in an unprecedented manner, a new 3D technique called 'Mammoth Stereolithography. This 3-D printing process is built up segment for segment in a sheath of polymer. The polymer hardens once it comes into contact with a laser beam, resulting in a more complex and layered form. Are you following yet?

Diem Chau

Artist Diem Chau

Chau combines common mediums and common means to create delicate vignettes of fleeting memory,
gesture and form, resulting in works that combine egalitarian sensibility and minimalist restraint.
Her work touches on the value of Storytelling,Myths and its ability to connect us to each other through
cultural and humanistic similarities. Chau's current work drifts intonew territory by exploring the
periphery of the narrative, moments forgotten and faded, or too brief to retain.

We just love the tiny work of Diem Chau. It's so adorable!
